Jenny Lanyon – Writer and Photographer
Having ventured from her Canadian homeland of Vancouver in 1979, Jenny joined an international scientific expedition to Papua New Guinea. Fate then took her to Australia where she gravitated towards rural people, captivated by their qualities of hard work, integrity and self-reliance. Jenny believes journalism is a licence to be curious and for more than a decade she has focused on telling the life stories of her clients. Following her passion, she is eager to share tales, both in picture and in word, of the tall poppies, quiet achievers and everyday people who she believes often have the most interesting stories. Dividing her time between Australia and Canada, Jenny’s assignments have taken her on a voyage to both sides of the Pacific.
